Fetus found in Talisay City church

CEBU - The body of a fetus, estimated to be from five to six months old, was found inside a plastic container past 1 p.m. yesterday at the premises of the Sta. Teresa de Avila Parish Church in Poblacion, Talisay City.

SPO3 Cleofas Bonjoc of the Talisay City Police Station said that after a concerned citizen, who asked for anonymity, informed them on what he had found, police officers led by Police Senior Insp. Jovito Canlapan were directed to check the area.

The police confirmed that what was found is indeed a fetus.

Sister Maria Judith Geslaga offered prayers for the dead fetus before it was buried at the Poblacion public cemetery.
