Man hangs self due to depression

CEBU - A 26-year-old man committed suicide last Saturday afternoon in sitio Tayong, barangay Guibuangan, Barili town, after he reportedly became too depressed because of his leprosy.   It was the mother of Adolfo Castro who found him hanging from the ceiling of their house past 2pm last Saturday.

Estefania Castro, 64, told the police his son was very depressed because of the leprosy he has been suffering for many years already. They already reportedly went to several hospitals and his son had taken many medicines to no avail.

Because of his illness, Castro reportedly cooped himself inside their house.

Estefania said that prior to his death, Castro reportedly told her that he would no longer wanted her to suffer.
