Breakdown of funds used for RED

-

CEBU - Fifth district Representative Ramon “Red” Durano has provided a breakdown of the funds allotted to the different projects under the Responsive, Efficient and Dependable program or more commonly known as the R.E.D. program.

Durano said P10 million was taken from his Priority Development Assistance Fund to support more than 30,000 in-patients and out-patients, in partnership with the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.

Meanwhile, P4.5 million has reportedly been allocated for scholarship for 1,000 financially-deprived residents of the district who enrolled in vocational or technical courses.

Another P2 million has reportedly been given to the Federation of Cebu 5th district Farmers and Fishermen, while P2 million more has been given as assistance to the cooperative federation.

Durano said the fifth district, as well as the circumferential road in the entire Camotes Island also benefited from a massive road concreting project.

The construction of classrooms, school buildings, multi-purpose buildings, barangay halls, deep wells, drainage systems, gyms, farm to market roads, and shoreline protection are reportedly among the list of priority projects.

The fifth district earlier launched its own website- www.cebu5thdistrict.ph – to promote transparency in the district.

“It is Responsive because it answers the needs of my constituents. It is Efficient because it answers the needs right away. It is Dependable as it assures the delivery of the benefits as constituents expected from my office,” Durano said. — Mitchelle L. Palaubsanon/JMO (THE FREEMAN)
