Four men shoot man dead in Ronda town

CEBU - Four unidentified motorcycle-riding men shot to death a 23-year-old man in barangay Canduning, Ronda town past 2 p.m. yesterday.

PO2 Emerito Sansan of the Ronda Police Station said that John Mark Quilloza of barangay Apo, Argao town was killed on the spot after sustaining three fatal wounds to his head, neck, and back.

Sansan said that Quilloza was about to have the chain of his motorcycle repaired at a shop when two men onboard a motorcycle arrived and shot him.

Quilloza managed to run but barely 10 meters from the shop, another two men onboard a second motorcycle shot him. Motive is still to be determined, though leads lean more on the assailants harbouring personal grudge against the victim.

Meanwhile, Junriel Bentoy, the second armed person shot by PO3 Rochelle Arquiza of the Regional Intelligence Office-7, passed away at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center last Monday afternoon.

Bentoy was shot in the stomach dawn of November 2 allegedly by Arquiza who was responding to a shooting inside a public cemetery in barangay Taytay, Danao City. — Ferliza C. Contratista/MEEV (THE FREEMAN)
