Public reminded again of dont's in cemeteries

-

CEBU - Those going to cemeteries on November 1 and 2 are warned not to bring guns, combustible materials, and deadly weapons, and to avoid gambling inside the cemetery.

This according to Police Supt. Anecito Perandos of the Cebu City Police Office, who said the police are on red alert status for the observance of the All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days.

Perandos added that drinking liquor or any alcoholic beverages inside the cemetery is also prohibited to avoid any untoward incidents.

All provincial and city police directors instructed policemen to be in red alert and implement tight security as part of the Oplan Kalag-Kalag or Oplan Kaluluwa, especially in vital installations, bus terminals, and in cemeteries.

Cebu City Police Office Director Senior Supt. Patrocinio Comendador had already instructed the 11 station commanders to dispatch all their available men in their areas of responsibility.

He said that his men are not allowed to go on leave during these days for them to ensure maximum security.

Maximum traffic personnel and traffic aides will be utilized to assist police during traffic jams through the augmentation of barangay tanods also. — Jasmin R. Uy/MEEV (THE FREEMAN)
