Capitol is inviting bidders for medical supply purchase

-

CEBU - The Cebu provincial government, through its Bids and Awards Committee–Goods and Services, is inviting bidders in its program to purchase medical, dental and laboratory supplies.

Provincial treasurer and BAC Committee chairman Roy Salubre said the approved budget contract (ABC) for the use of Cebu Provincial Health Office and district hospitals is P4.325 million, which will be taken from the local funds.

Capitol will issue bid documents to interested parties starting last September 26 until October 6. The submission and opening of bids and bid evaluation will be on October 7 while the post qualification will be on October 9 and the notice of award on Oct. 13.

According to Salubre, the prospective bidders should have the experience and have undertaken similar project within two years, with an amount of at least 50 percent of the project for bidding.

The BAC-GS will use non-discretionary “pass/fail” criteria in the Eligibility Check/Screening as well as the Preliminary Examination of Bids. Post-qualification of the lowest calculated bid will also be conducted.

Under the bidding, the province assumes no responsibility whatsoever to compensate or indemnify bidders for any expenses incurred in the preparation of the bid.

It also reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any defect or informality of the bid proposals received, as it only accepts the offer it deems most advantageous to the government. — Garry B. Lao/LPM (THE FREEMAN)
