Architect loses valuables to three "grateful" thieves

-

CEBU - Three unidentified burglars, one of them believed to be a minor, reportedly left a “thank you” note at the gate of a house in San Agustin Village, barangay Inayawan, after stealing valuable items worth around P400,000 early yesterday morning.

Theodore Guanzon Baguio, an architect, lost two laptops, six mobile phones, a video camera, a digital camera, and other personal belongings to the burglars who left the house key at the gate with a thank-you note.

Investigation revealed that the burglars, with the help of a child who served as guide in opening the main door, were able to enter the entertainment room of the house of the victim by destroying the sliding glass door using a screwdriver.

Personnel of the Theft and Robbery Section of the Cebu City Police Office said that the child is around 10 years old based on the size of a set of footprints found on the floor of the house.

Police are conducting further investigation to establish the identity of the thieves. – Niña Chrismae G. Sumacot/MEEV (THE FREEMAN)
