CEBU - A trisikad driver was stabbed dead while a masiao usher was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Cordova town, Cebu the other night.
Trisikad driver Adriano Gentapa, 37, a resident of barangay Dapitan, Cordova, was stabbed dead allegedly by Randy Casul, 32, who surrendered to the police a few minutes after the incident.
Casul, who is a resident of barangay Pilipog, Cordova, admitted he stabbed Gentapa after the victim dropped off a passenger in a secluded area in barangay Cogon, Cordova, Cebu.
“Ngitngit man gyud nang dapita dinha human paghatod og pasahero giatangan dayon ang biktima ug gidunggaban sa makadaghan ka higayon,” said desk officer SPO3 Rafael Tero, who added that they found at least 15 stab wounds on the victim.
Casul told Tero that he killed the victim after suspecting the latter hexed him and caused his stomach pains, but Tero suspects that Casul is just suffering from a mental disorder.
“Makaduda gyud ta kay usahay tarong iyang estorya unya usahay molikoy sab og estorya.Gani pag-abot sa daghang tawo kalit lang ni siya nisyagit,” Tero added.
Gentapa’s wife, Irene, said her husband and Casul were former drinking buddies until the victim noticed something wrong with Casul and kept his distance from the suspect.
“Dugay na gyud na siya ing distansya sa suspek kay nagduda na pud siya nga lain gyud ang lihok, usahay molikoy,” Irene said.
The Cordova police are preparing to file a murder complaint against Casul.
