Raps filed versus 2 alleged pushers

CEBU - The Cebu City Prosecutor’s Office has indicted two suspected big-time drug pushers who were arrested while selling illegal drugs to an undercover agent of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Cebu City prosecutor Nicolas Sellon did not recommend a bail for the temporary liberty of Marlon Cuizon and Ricardo Dinawanao, who were formally charged yesterday in court for violations of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

Cuizon and Dinawanao were said to be level two drug pushers in barangay Duljo-Fatima. PDEA-7 operatives arrested them during a buy-bust operation in the evening of September 9.

A PDEA undercover pretended to buy a pack of shabu from the accused. The agent was met by Dinawanao at the gate and was then allowed to get inside the house.

Intelligence Officer 1 Ferdinand Kintanar said that Cuizon handed to him a pack of shabu worth P200. Kintanar immediately placed him under arrest that led to the confiscation of 144 more packs of shabu.

Dinawanao, on the other hand, was arrested after four packs of shabu were also seized from his pocket. — Fred P. Languido/LPM (THE FREEMAN)
