Mom scolds then scalds 3 daughters
Three young girls had a different kind of early morning bath last Sunday in Carcar City after their mother threw boiling water at them after finding out one of them took money from her without permission.
According to the reports reaching Cebu Provincial Police Office the 35-year-old mother, a resident of barangay Ocaña who works as a manicurist, was boiling water for their “utan bisaya” breakfast when she found out she was missing P300.
She suspected her daughters to have taken her money and became more furious when she learned that her eldest daughter, 16, a Grade 5 student, used the money to play a bingo game.
She then splashed water at the 16-year-old who managed to evade, but the youngest daughter, seven years old, was scalded in the back.
The mother then turned her ire to middle daughter, 13 years, old, before finally catching the eldest.
The neighbors reported the incident to the police who arrested her.
Police said the girls, apart from getting burned, were also mauled as evidenced by several bruises. They were turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development while the woman is now facing a complaint on violations of Republic Act 7610 or the Anti Child Abuse Law.
