Consolacion police confiscated 31 small sachets and another two large packets of what was believed to be shabu from a couple suspected to be big-time pushers in the said town.
Jimmy Capangpangan and his live-in partner, Arlene Sapad, residents of barangay Pulpogan, Consolacion, were arrested last Sunday by the team of Insp. Leoncio Baliguat.
According to PO3 Allan Maglangit, the suspects were already known to have long been involved in the illegal drugs trade in the area, selling the prohibited substance at P200 per sachet.
Maglangit narrated that the suspects were said to be sleeping when the police officers conducted the raid. Upon entry of the arresting policemen inside the house, the suspects made an attempt to escape by jumping out of the window.
However, they were not able to get that far as the other police officers have already surrounded the place.
Further, the suspects are alleged to have used minors as drug couriers.
The suspects are currently detained at the Consolacion Police Station. Cases against them were already filed yesterday at the fiscal’s office. – Cressida Paula G. Delmo/MEEV
