Man stabbed, hacked by wife, stepdaughter
A man is now in a serious condition after he was stabbed and hacked by his wife and step-daughter in barangay Tabon, Dalaguete the other day.
Cereno Belarma, 49, was about to eat his breakfast when his stepdaughter identified as Eusebia Flores Alcazar, 19, hacked him using a bolo. On the other hand, his wife, identified as Patricia Flores Belarma, stabbed him in the stomach with a knife.
Belarma, who sustained several hack and stab wounds to his head, neck, hands, legs, shoulders and stomach, was rushed to Dr. Alcantara Memorial Hospital but was later transferred to
In a phone interview with The FREEMAN, Patricia said that before the incident, Eusebia told her mother about her resentment against his stepfather. Eusebia said that when she was still 10 years old, her step-father raped him.
“Mao kuno ni siya ang rason ngano nga nagbuwag ni sila sa iyang bana kay dina daw siya virgin,” Patricia told The FREEMAN, adding that her daughter did not attempt to tell her about the incident before because she was threatened by her husband.
To her anger, Patricia confronted her husband and beat him with a pestle around
The following morning, Cereno went home and Patricia asked him to eat his breakfast. For the second time, she confronted Cereno regarding the alleged “rape” of her daughter but Cereno refused to answer the question.
Patricia told him that after their breakfast, they would go and see the barangay captain to settle the incident.
However, Eusebia, who was already holding a bolo entered inside the kitchen and hacked his stepfather, hitting him in the nape. Cereno attempted to defend himself but his stepdaughter hacked him again, this time hitting his head.
Despite his wounds, Cereno was able to run for safety but Patricia chased him and stabbed him in his stomach. Patrcia said that she would have continued stabbing her husband but the barangay tanods arrived.
“Wala ko magbasol sa akong gibuhat. Kusog kaayo ni siya (husband) mangulata,” Patricia said.
Patricia and Eusebia voluntarily surrendered to Dalaguete Police Station after the incident.
PO2 Cerilo Glipa of Dalaguete Police Station told The FREEMAN that a case is set to be filed against the mother and daughter.
