Catulpos was hit in the abdomen and brought to the hospital.

PO2 Ryan Heyrosa of the Consolacion police said that the victim boarded the jeepney driven by Meca from Liloan bound for Consolacion. Mesoles reportedly gave P20 for his fare while Meca gave him back P10 as change.
“Nasuko ni ang biktima kay ngano P10 lang daw,” Heyrosa said, adding that the driver explained that there was already a fare increase for jeepneys from Lilona to Consolacion.
The two got into an argument and eventually exchanged blows, but the driver eventually found a pair of scissors and stabbed the victim who was rushed to the hospital.
“Wala tingali kapugong ang driver, nakakita og gunting, gidunggab,” Heyrosa said.
