Nagkahiusang Drayber sa Sugbo secretary general Ruben Rama said yesterday they are not “closing their door” to their plan to hold another transport strike few days from now.
Rama said their planned strike is aimed at pressing their demand for another fare increase amid the rising prices of gasoline.
“Padayon mi! Wala magsara ang among mga pultahan aning planoha. Nangandam na usab ang mga driver para niining strike,” Rama said. “Makita jud ang pag-increase sa krudo ug gasoline.”
The transport group wanted the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board to implement another round of fare increase otherwise they would launch another transport strike.
With 5,000 members of Nadsu, Rama is confident that the strike would be enough to cripple Cebu’s public transportation.
He added that they are just waiting for a “go signal” from their mother organization for the staging of another strike. — Niña Chrismae G. Sumacot/LPM
