Bogo farmer hacked to death by neighbor

A farmer was hacked to death by his neighbor while he was walking home with his wife from harvesting corn in barangay Anonang Sur, Bogo City last Saturday.

PO3 Allan Dosdos of the Bogo City police identified the victim as Uldarico Ruiz, 61, and the alleged perpetrator as Glicero Talisic who was armed with a bolo.

Ruiz sustained three hack wounds to the chest that broke three ribs and another in the left arm.  The fatal hack wound was inflicted on the neck, nearly decapitating the victim.

“Sundang ang gigamit og brutal kayo ang pagtigbas,” Dosdos told The FREEMAN, “gani, ang iyang ulo nagbitay na lang”.

According to witnesses, the victim was able to run but Talisic followed him and continued to hack him.

Dosdos said that prior to the incident, the suspect and the victim had a misunderstanding after the suspect accused Ruiz of having an affair with his wife.
