Members of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group confiscated 52 pieces of packs containing substance believed to be shabu in sitio Central, barangay Biasong, Talisay City recently.
The operation was implemented by virtue of a search warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court against Bernard Belleza, a.k.a. Bernie, 39, a resident of the said place, for violation of Sections 11a and 12, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act.
The operation eventually resulted in the seizure of the plastic packs of shabu and other drug paraphernalia with an approximate market value of P13,000.
Police arrested Allan Manguilimotan, Natividad Belleza and Michelle Gomez, all of legal age and residents of the said place.
They were taken to the CIDG office for proper documentation prior to the filing of charges for violating provisions of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Law. — Joy Kareen Saliente/MEEV
