Aussie gov’t shows interest in Arrogante slay
The Australian Government has assured the family of businessman Renerio “Gogong” Arrogante, who was killed in Daanbantayan town last March 9, of its keen interest on the case.
Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs Stephen Smith informed members of the Arrogante family, who are now based in Australia through Member of Parliament Daryl Melharm, that the Australian Embassy in Manila is taking a close interest in the case.
Smith said that embassy consular staff are providing assistance to Julieta Arrogante, widow of Renerio, and have spoken to the local police on her behalf.
