“Dapat nga ‘bonggacious’ gyud ang atong tagsa-tagsa ka mga towns inig bisita sa mga guests,” Primor told the local officials but reminded them that in cultural shows, no dancers shall be allowed to wear skimpy attires that expose bellies, thighs, and armpits.
Primor clarified that the foods to be served to the guests must be authentic Cebuano or Filipino dishes, as well as the songs and dances presented. He also urged them to use native decorations, or designs inherent to the place.
The Suroy-Suroy Sugbo, which started in 2004, was a test program to encourage tourists, local and foreign, to tour the island province via a caravan of buses, cars, and other motor vehicles.
