Four suspected members of a certain gang called the Bloods stabbed a 15-year-old boy right inside an Internet café along T. Padilla Street around 2 a.m. Wednesday.
The victim was playing computer games when the four men approached and attacked him without provocation. A fistfight ensued when he tried to fight back, but one of the attackers, known only as “Harold”, pulled out a knife and stabbed the boy in the back.
The boy was rushed to the Cebu City Medical Center while police investigators combed the crime scene but said they were unable to find the knife used in the attack.
The victim said he was sure his assailants were members of the Bloods gang but he, however, denied being a member of their rival gang, a certain gang known as the Crips. Most members of both Bloods and Crips gangs are teenagers.
He recounted to the police that during the previous week he had a basketball game with his assailants and that he could have offended them during the game and they held a grudge against him for that.
Witnesses said that the assailants were regular customers of the Internet café but police still do not have their identities and whereabouts. —Trex Eden O. Ignacio
