At least seven people were injured when a motorcycle bumped a passenger tricycle in barangay Bagatayan, Sogod town last Sunday.
A 22-year-old Joel Talisic, a resident of barangay Lorega-San Miguel, Cebu City, was driving his motorcycle with plate number GF-8343 along the road in barangay Bagatayan when he failed to notice a passenger tricycle with five passengers at the opposite direction.
“Kusog-kusog ang pagpadagan ni Joel unya pag-abot sa may subidahon nga dalan nikawat kini og linya sa pikas. Wala makabantay nga iyang gikasugat niining traysikol hinungdan nga nagkabangga,” one of the witnesses said.
Those injured were identified as Dionisio Ombrero, 28, the driver of the passenger motorcycle; Fe Montecillo of Sitio Panangatan, barangay Bawo, Sogod; Dionisio Mondero, 29, of Negros; Cleofe Nuñeza, 42 of Poblacion, Catmon; Trinidad Eve, 28 of Bawo, Sogod; Ray Montecillo, 34 of Bawo, Sogod; and Talisic.
They were immediately brought to the Juan Dosado Memorial Hospital for their injuries. — Garry B. Lao/LPM
