This year’s “Siete Palabras’ on Good Friday will carry the subject on the face of Jesus in the Bible, according to the Cebu Archdiocese.
Selected priests will explain the seven last words of Jesus Christ on Good Friday afternoon at the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral. This is in light of the theme” “Deus Caritas Est: Living the Spirituality of Stewardship in the Year of Social Concerns.”
After several meetings, the committee of the Siete Palabras 2008 has already made preparations for the activity that will be held at the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral.
The Cebu Archdiocese has decided to focus on the matter so that this will give a chance to the devotees to know who Jesus is as they contemplate his face on the bible.
The “Siete Palabras” is one of the highlights of the Easter Triduum. It will run from noon to 3 p.m., which Catholics believe is the time when Jesus Christ died on the cross. — Jasmin R. Uy/LPM
