CPDRC inmates dance shown on YouTube anew

The internationally-famous dancing inmates are back on Youtube.  This time the inmates are dancing to the hit song, “U Can’t Touch This” by rappers Soulja Boy and MC Hammer.

Capitol consultant on security matters Byron Garcia who has been the overseer of the dancing inmates, said this only goes to show that the group is not a one-hit wonder.

They were featured not only on CNN but also on BBC and newspapers and magazines around the world.

The “U Can’t touch This” video was performed last February 23, during their monthly performance at the CPDRC building that was filled with local and foreign tourists who came to watch them live for free.

Their latest clip can now be viewed on YouTube.  Garcia said he uploaded it only last Monday night and, as of 3 p.m. yesterday, the video had more than 250,000 hits.

Garcia said the inmates will perform again by the end of next month.  He said that they practice their dance routine for four hours every day as part of their physical fitness program.

The dancing inmates’ first hit over YouTube last August was their dance performance of Michael Jackson’s hit “Thriller”.  The performance wowed viewers around the world and prompted Time Magazine to name it among the top five best viewed videos of 2007.   Mitchelle L. Palaubsanon/RAE
