Brownout to hit Bulacao, Talisay today, tomorrow

A 12-hour power interruption is expected to hit a portion of barangay Bulacao along the South National Highway, including the Talisay Public Market and the Tricycle Terminal, today at 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. tomorrow.

Other areas that will be affected by the brownout include the entire sitio Cruzan Bulacao, sitio Mahayahay-Candulawan, Villa Verna Subdivision, Lower and Upper Candulawan, New Frontier Village, Vista Grande Subd., Pacific Heights Subd., Villa Estrellita Subd., Ming Court Subd., Maharlika Village, sitio Paraiso Molave, along Lagtang Road including Molave Extension, part of sitio Hollow Block, Saint Scholastica’s Academy and the Lagtang barangay hall.

The power outage will also hit Ilang-Ilang Street, including Sta. Catalina Subd., Cebu St. Therese Learning Center, Inc.; Lagtang Elementary School, the Chlorination building of the Metropolitan Cebu Water District, and UP Bahadas.

The entire barangay Jaclupan including the MCWD Dam and Campo 1, 2, 3 and 4 will also be affected.

The brownout is needed in order for the Visayan Electric Company, Inc. to facilitate the enhancement of line by replacing rotten poles and pole attachments.

A portion of the NHA Subd., barangay Busay in Cebu City including sitio Maaslum will also experience a brownout from 8 a.m. until noontime tomorrow, Friday, as VECO will facilitate the transfer of line away from an ongoing construction. — Mitchelle L. Palaubsanon/MEEV
