Man robs woman, hits her with gun

-

Three men on a motorcycle first robbed a 20-year-old woman and took her bag at barangay Tisa on Friday. As they left her, however, one of them struck her with a gun causing her injuries on the head.

The victim, Melissa Rondina, went to the police station to report the robbery and she was immediately taken to the Cebu City Medical Center.

Rondina, a resident of Felina Village in Tisa, said that she was by the roadside near the subdivision waiting for a ride when the robbers stopped in front of her, pointed a gun at her, and declared a holdup.

She said she gave her bag containing her P6,000-worth cellular phone, and her wallet that had her identification cards and documents.

City Police director, Sr. Supt. Patrocinio Comendador, believed that criminals are now becoming very familiar of police routines and commit crimes out of policemen's sights.

He then asked his men to make some adjustments on police visibility and beat patrols around the city to contain the resurgence of petty crimes especially holdups perpetrated by motorcycle- and car-riding men. - Edwin Ian Melecio/RAE
