Ship enroute to Cebu runs aground

Some 933 passengers were stranded between the waters off Isabel, Leyte and Camotes Island when M/V Roble Shipping Lines’ Heaven Star had engine trouble noon time yesterday.

Coastguard Central Visayas Deputy Commander Rolando Legaspi said that M/V Heaven Star ran aground and water seeped into the ship’s machine causing oil delusion.

Legaspi said that the management of Roble Shipping sent their sister ship M/V Wonderful Star to rescue the stranded passengers.
