Probers confident of solving killing of two Japanese soon
The murder of the two Japanese nationals, who were killed in a separate occasions in Mandaue City, may be solved very soon, according to Police Senior Inspector Reynaldo Magdaluyo of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.
Last Monday, a team of Japanese investigators from Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department visited the regional office of CIDG at the Camp Sotero Cabahug to help in the investigation into the killing of Taro Suda and Hiroshi Kasuka.
“We are very, very close in solving this case. I tell you people, we are now on the right track of the investigation,” said Magdaluyo.

Last July, Suda was shot by two unidentified gunmen while he was about to board his car at the gate of a Japanese restaurant where he worked as the chief cook. He was killed instantly.
The restaurant is owned by his Filipina live-in partner who is said to be married to another Japanese.

Magdaluyo said they are now “on the right track” in their investigation but refused to give any details so as not to preempt their next operation.
Last Wednesday, a member of the Alpha Kappa Rho confessed that he was part of a five-man gang that was paid to kill Suda. The copy of the confession was given to the Japanese police investigators
The role of the Akhro members in the killing of the other Japanese national is also detailed in the three-page sworn statement by the Akrho member.
