Awards for TF Aves

Also present was Filomeno Lim, president of the Cebu Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, who announced that each awardee was also to receive P2,000.
The awardees were Labra, Chief Insp. Arnel Banzon , Ylanan, Sr.Insp. Chyrel Ramos, SPO1 Alfredo Petallar, PO2 Nilo Areola, PO2 Dale Efe, PO2 Frederick Ybañez, PO2 Jerybel Lerio, PO2 Regalado dela Victoria, PO2 Melbert Dio, PO2 Joel Taboada, PO1 Alaine Dignos, and Luage.
Banzon was not present during the awarding ceremony as he was attending court duty yesterday.
Sr. Supt. Patrocinio Comendador, city police director, who was not around, was also recognized for his leadership.
Aves has been wanted by the CCPO since 2004, and the City Government through Mayor Tomas Osmeña initially dangled P150 for his capture, but after the series of the drive-by shooting incident the mayor increased the reward to P300,000.
Aves is now facing not less than 17 murder, homicide, frustrated murder and attempted homicide cases aside from charges for possession of illegal drugs and illegal possession of firearms. —(/NLQ)
