Fire hit a house at the corner of Lapay and F. Llamas streets in barangay Punta Princesa early morning yesterday.
SFO2 Ricardo Villarente of the city’s Bureau of Fire Protection said the house was owned by a certain Edmund Enriquez.
Based on the report of the fire scene investigator SFO2 Alicasim Espinola’s, the fire reportedly originated in one of the rooms occupied by one of the family members, Richard Enriquez.
The fire was reported around 12:24 a.m. and firemen had the blaze under control two minutes after they arrived at the scene. It took two hours for them to completely douse the flames.
Total damage was pegged at P150,000 and there were no reports of injuries or deaths.
Fire investigators have yet to determine the cause of the fire. — Edwin Ian Melecio/BRP
