Man found dead with stab wounds
A 27-year-old man was found dead with several stab wounds to different parts of his body along
Police identified the victim as Lorenzo Gesem Gadingan, alias “Laurence”, 27, a resident of sitio Katangkungan in barangay Basak-Pardo.
Homicide investigators believe that the assailant might have killed the victim over a bitter grudge based on the deep, prominent and multiple wounds. Gadingan bore several stab wounds in the neck, right chest, left forearm and back, and was believed to have been killed on the spot.
PO3 Henry Orbiso and his team learned from the victim’s companion, Norman Pajaron Pegaredo, 25, of sitio Villa San Pedro in Basak-Pardo, that they had just watched a miss gay contest in Rama Compound in Basak-San Nicolas and decided to go to an Internet café.
But as they were on their way, the victim reportedly said he changed his mind and decided to go somewhere else, and Pegaredo said it was okay and he went on to the Internet café alone.
A few minutes later, he learned that the victim was found dead along the said street. No murder weapon was found at the crime scene. — Edwin Ian Melecio/BRP
