The governor, who is also the president of One Cebu party, chose to have their grand proclamation rally for the third district in Pinamungajan, which is the hometown of the Yaphas.
During the rally, the governor''s brother, Pablo John, who is running for congressman of the third district, said the Yaphas failed to repair roads and provide electricity and water in the barangays.
"Milansar ko aron papha-on ang mga Yapha," Pablo John said, adding that if he will be elected as congressman he will set aside "kinaraang pamuno."
Pablo John criticized the Yaphas support of a bill seeking to create four new provinces out of Cebu province along with Clavel Asas-Martinez, who is running for vice governor, and 2nd district representative Simeon Kintanar.
The governor also blamed the Yaphas for refusing to accept the police vehicles and fire truck she tried to donate to the town. She also said they prevented the residents from availing of free PhilHealth cards.
Former governor Pablo Garcia, who is running for 2nd district congressman, and his wife, Esperanza, also attended the rally with the mayors of the third district.
The third district comprises the municipalities of Aloguinsan, Asturias, Balamban, Barili, Pinamungajan, Tuburan and the city of Toledo. - Garry B. Lao/BRP
