The Durano clan in the fifth district will deliver a landslide victory for the Team Unity senatorial candidates in the May 14 elections.
This was the assurance of Danao City Mayor Ramon "Nito" Durano III to President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo during the Team Unity''s proclamation rally in the city last Friday.
President Arroyo, for her part, welcomed Durano''s assurance and promised that her administration will continue providing projects to the city and other towns in the district.
Two of the projects that the government has already implemented in the city are the construction of a fish port and a terminal.
"Kaniadtong nagpapili pa ko pagkasenador hangtud sa pagka bise president ug karon nahimo na nga presidente tungod sa support nga gipakita sa mga Durano. Karon manghinaut ako nga inyong ipadayon ang suporta sa mga senador under the Unity Team," the President said.
She said the victory of the Team Unity senatorial candidates in the fifth district, particularly Danao City, would mean additional projects.
Durano, on the other hand, welcomed the President''s promise of more projects, saying that it is a big challenge for the people of Danao City and the whole district to go for a landslide victory of the Team Unity senatorial ticket, whose campaign manager is his son, Joseph Ace, the secretary of the Department of Tourism. -- Jose P.
