Mario Labiano, 28, married, of barangay Paknaan in Mandaue City and Dennis Ybañez, 33, single, of barangay Duljo-Fatima, Cebu City were arrested by members of the Talisay City Police Station after they were caught packing appliances they reportedly stole from the house of Labiano''s parents.
Their arrest came after the subdivision''s security guard, Edwin Gerbacio, saw them forcibly entering the house of Labiano''s parents.
Investigation conducted by the Talisay City police said the suspects gained entry into the couple''s house through the backdoor.
Once inside, the suspects allegedly took a microwave oven worth P3,000, radio component worth P9,000, 29-inch TV worth P20,000, air-conditioning unit worth P8,000, liquefied petroleum gas tank worth P1,500 and three electric fans worth P4,000.
Retired P. Supt. Venancio Labiano and his wife Marilyn are bent on filing charges against their son and his companion, claiming that the burglary was the second committed by the suspects against them.
