Minor revamp looms for city police officers

A minor revamp of city police officials will be carried out by next week, involving at least two police station chiefs, said city police director Sr. Supt. Patrocinio Comendador yesterday.
Comendador told The Freeman that the minor revamp is in line with the directive from the Police Regional Office-7 regarding the two-year service limitation in heading a police station.
The PRO-7 directive stated that any police station chief who is "overstaying" in his position must be transferred to another station or police unit.
Comendador said his recommendation for such will still be sent to the Commission on Elections central office in Manila for approval, considering that the office has the exclusive power to allow or deny any revamp and troop transfer during the election period. -Edwin Ian Melecio/RAE
