Policemen armed with a search warrant issued by RTC Branch 15 judge Fortunato de Gracia arrested Manolito Abrigondo, alias "Manoli", 26, of sitio Lusimba, barangay Poblacion Pardo, last yesterday dawn.
The raiders led by Insp. Armando Cañete, deputy chief of Pardo police station seized 20 sticks of suspected marijuana from the house of Abrigondo that were placed inside a pack of playing cards.
Last Saturday night policemen from the San Nicolas police station led by PO3 Alfredo Cuizon arrested along Belgium Street a suspected drug peddler identified as Ramonito Debalucos, 27, a resident of the said place.
Police reportedly found five sachets of suspected shabu inside a can that he was carrying around.
At around midnight, police from the same police station led by SPO1 Metodio Aparis conducted a saturation drive also along Belgium Street in barangay Suba and arrested Judy Cabilao Despi, 24.
He was allegedly caught in possession of a sachet of suspected shabu in his pocket.
Earlier the Vice Control Section led by PO3 Jeofrey Larrobis responded to a telephone call about the presence of drug peddlers selling illegal drugs in the interior parts of Mambaling.
Larrobis and his men verified the information in sitio Kamansi of the said barangay and arrested Ronald Tabanas Abellanosa, 27, a resident of C. Padilla Street, sitio Manga, of the said barangay.
Police failed to find shabu from the suspect but found shabu drug paraphernalia instead.
The police will be filing separate charges against the suspects before the City Prosecutor's Office today. - Edwin Ian Melecio/BRP
