Sogod town school loses 8 rooms in fire

Four classrooms and four offices of the Sogod Central Elementary School in barangay Bagatayam, Sogod town were destroyed by a fire that hit the school at around 11:15 p.m. last Wednesday.
PO3 Elymar Mendoza, investigator of the Sogod police station yesterday said that aside from the school's classrooms, the principal's office, the office of the district supervisor, the guidance counselor's office and the school's library were also destroyed.
In a spot report submitted by Sogod fire marshal SFO3 Reynal Enjambre the fire was reported at 11:15 p.m. and considered under control five minutes after firemen arrived at the scene.
In his report Enjambre said that they cannot determine yet the cause of fire as it still under investigation, but witnesses said that the fire started in the ceiling of the office of the district supervisor.
