The victim said she was first raped by the suspect, identified as Christopher Obod, 34, about 6 a.m.
Based on the allegations of the victim she was awakened by the suspect grabbing her blanket and threatening to kill her if she would shout for help. Then the suspect undressed her and raped her.
At about 9 a.m. that day again the suspect raped her again.
After the incident she managed to escape after she noticed an uncle passing by and they immediately went to the police station to report the incident.
PO3 Ethel Teves and PO2 Darling Banogon later arrested Obod in his house.
SPO1 Ceasar Gutang yesterday said that the victim's grandmother was away selling vegetables in the market during that time.
Meanwhile, a 20-year-old man is now detained at the Toledo City Jail for the attempted rape of a neighbor and illegal possession of firearms.
The incident happened in sitio Pandong Bato, barangay Media Onse, Toledo City, around 7 p.m. last Monday.
The suspect who surrendered to the police station the following day was identified as Jomar Lacaolacao, a native of Negros Occidental but presently residing at the said place. He also turned over a homemade .22 cal. revolver with six live bullets.
Police said the suspect entered the house of a married woman and tried to rape her but failed after she fought back.
The suspect surrendered to the police after he learned that the victim immediately reported the incident to the police.
