Two suspected drug pushers were arrested while another pusher escaped during a buy-bust operation conducted by policemen of Bogo town led by their police chief in sitio Limogmog, barangay Gairan, last Sunday evening.
The two were identified as Ched Artem Desavilla, alias "Dondon", 26, a resident of the place and Gino Bagon, 22, of barangay Santo Rosario, of the same town.
Bogo policeman SPO3 Edgardo Terol yesterday told The Freeman that the suspects were arrested after a poseur-buyer successfully bought drugs from them and signaled the police to move in.
Confiscated from the two were nine small sachets containing shabu and five other bigger packs of shabu, the P100 marked money and a Nokia 3510 cellular phone allegedly used in their drug operations.
Another suspected pusher, a certain "Popoy", was able to escape upon seeing the raiding team led by their police chief Insp. Arturo Pacifico.
Terol said the operation, which was conducted in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-7, was carried out after a week of surveillance after receiving reports of Desavilla's drug trade. He added that Desavilla is eighth in their list of wanted drug personalities. - Norvie S. Misa/BRP
