Around 11 a.m. last Sunday two unidentified men shot dead Rubelito Lapeña, 46, a tricycle driver, in sitio Awayan, barangay Poblacion 3, Carcar.
Carcar police desk officer SPO3 Raffy Satera yesterday said the victim was shot twice in the head and temple and did not reach the Carcar District Hospital alive.
Investigator SPO3 Jonas Pananganan said that Lapeña was about to park his tricycle at the place when the two men, both wearing bonnets, sunglasses and jackets, arrived on a motorcycle and shot the victim twice.
Around 9 p.m. last Sunday, shoemaker Joel Quijado, 29, was shot in the forehead and killed on the spot while reportedly watching television inside the house of his employer in sitio Tubod, barangay Villadolid, Carcar.
Satera said policemen saw Quijado's body already brought out of the house when they arrived but the couple Quijado worked for and other shoemakers denied they were the ones who moved it from the inside.
Residents in the area insisted the victim was slain inside the house of the couple but they did not see who did it and do not know how the body was taken outside.
Around 2 a.m. yesterday in barangay Poblacion I, Carcar, 22-year-old security guard Christian Solatorio was shot dead while buying cigarettes from a store adjacent to a plaza where a benefit dance was held.
Solatorio, also known as a member of Alpha Sigma Omega fraternity, was shot in the back of his head and killed on the spot. The lone assailant fled immediately on a motorcycle toward Sibonga town.
The victim's body was taken to the town's funeral parlor for autopsy while responding policemen found two shells of a .45 cal. pistol from the crime scene.
