Veco skeds brownouts in Cebu, Talisay, Mandaue

Several areas in the cities of Cebu, Talisay and Mandaue will be affected by power interruptions scheduled by the Visayan Electric Company from today until February 11.

At 5:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. today, a portion of barangay Lorega San Miguel, specifically Gen. Lorega St., Lower Lomar T. Padilla, T. Villa St., portion of barangay Punta Princesa and a portion of Atillo Road., E. Pacaña St., Tres de Abril Road., including Atillo Subd., Tres de Abril Subd., Victor Village I & II, in Cebu City will experience power outage to facilitate replacement of rotten poles and relocation of lines traversing a property of the said areas.

On Friday, a six-hour power outage will occur in a portion of barangay San Roque, Talisay City, specifically Green Meadow Subd. William Lines Subd. and a portion of barangay Cabancalan, Mandaue City, specifically along Loran Road and Suelon Road including Jimcastler Int'l., Inc., to facilitate replacement of rotten poles and replacement of an overloaded transformer.

Another power interruption will occur at 4:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. to facilitate the replacement of rotten poles at the portion of brgy. Apas, Cebu City, specifically a portion of Fulton St., Lapu-Lapu Road., Pasteur St., Torralba St., Sitio Calvary Hills, Sitio Panabang, Sitio Plaza, Sitio Rotonda, Sitio San Miguel, Sitio Tangili, Upper Calvary, including Asia Pacific Top Management Int'l., Camp Lapu-Lapu Compound, Casino Hills, Club Serena Resort, Gevaran Subd., Golden Valley Subd., Holy Family Retreat House, Mahayahay Village, Middle Hills, Nivel Hills, One Wilson's Place, Pacific CATV Inc., Park Vista Town Homes, Pastrano Village, Saint Therese Parish Church, San Antonio Village, San Miguel, Sugbo Homes, Villa Amores and Yu Hee Jeung Korean Resort.

Other areas that will be affected by the brownout on the same day, which will start at 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. are the portion of barangay Kasambagan, Cebu City and a portion of Banilad Road including Cebu GQS Dev. Corp., Don Bosco Site, Petron Gas Station, Sitio Baca Road and Sitio Baca to facilitate tapping and energize a new primary line extension.

On Saturday, a 12-hour brownout starting from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. will affect a portion of barangay San Nicolas Basak and San Roque Mambaling, Cebu City to facilitate the replacement of rotten poles and uprating of lines from 13.8 kV into 23 kV system.

On the same day, from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., a portion of barangay Basak San Nicolas and a portion of barangay Mambaling in Cebu City will have brownouts in order to facilitate the uprating of lines from 13.8 kV into 23 kV system

On Sunday, another 12-hour brownout starting from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. will occur in the portion of barangay Talamban, Cebu City, specifically part of H. Abellana St., Tintay - from Reyu Surplus up to Conglomerate Distribution, Inc., including Archival Subd., Conglomerate Distribution, Inc., Esmeralda Compound, Mahogany Groove Subd., Nestle Phil., Inc., Reyu Surplus Trading, Sitio Ilaya, Tawason Road and Tintay Market to facilitate the uprating of lines from 13.8 kV into 23 kV system.

A 30-minute power outage from 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. will occur at the portion of barangay Talamban, Cebu City, specifically along JC Bontuyan St., part of Highway 77 - from corner Leyson St., fronting barangay hall up to St. Anthony Village, including Cebu Mary Immaculate College, DODZ ENT, Ligaya Townhomes, S.O.S. Youth Village Subd., San Isidro Parish School, Sitio Cadaujan, St. Anthony Village, Talamban Brgy. Hall and Talamban Parish Church to facilitate isolation of lines affected by the maintenance schedule.

While from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. of the same day, a portion of barangay Canduman, Mandaue City, specifically part of H. Abellana St., from Dick Materex Pest Exterminator up to Surplus Display Center, including Charles Peak, Countryville Subd. and RJR Mini Mart, will have brownouts in order to facilitate tapping and transfer of newly uprated lines from Cabancalan Feeder to Paknaan Feeder. - Mitchelle L.
