SPO1 Delfin Bontuyan and his team just finished filing a case at the Palace of Justice yesterday morning when Raul Tabanas, 37, of barangay Tisa, passed by and tried to sell DVDs to them.
Bontuyan said that they asked him if he sold X-rated DVDs and Tabanas showed him some, prompting the policeman to arrest him.
Tabanas said that he went to the Palace of Justice to deliver some X-rated DVDs ordered by some of his customers there, most of them allegedly lawyers. Before he started selling DVDs he sold peanuts and his income was not enough to support his family.
Bontuyan said that the selling of pirated DVDs alone was already a violation, but Tabanas committed another violation when he sold X-rated DVDs.
"Basin asa ka mamaligya ana violation na, the more na kon didto sa Palace of Justice, diha gud mag-file ug kaso," Bontuyan said.
A case for violating Presidential Decree 969 that prohibits the sale of pornographic materials will be filed against Tabanas. - Flor Z. Perolina/BRP
