A taxi operator yesterday returned the service firearm and bag of a policeman that were left behind in the baggage compartment of one of his cabs.
Joseph Salva yesterday turned over to PDEA-7 director Amado Marquez the .45 cal. Norinco service firearm of Insp. Reynaldo Francisco, who is assigned to Police Regional Office - 6.
Francisco and some of his fellow police officers were here in Cebu to take a promotional examination at the Police Regional Office-7 last December 27 and flagged down a WEAH taxi to take them to the police headquarters.
"Nakalimutan ko talaga kasi nagmamadali kami papunta sa headquarters, nalaman ko nga nasa baggage pala yong bag ko, paalis na 'yung taxi," Francisco said. Salva said his taxi driver Junior Brusas noticed the backpack and the gun left behind and they reported the matter to PRO-7. - Ramil V. Ayuman
