The first incident took place in barangay Sentro Duangan, Balamban town, where a construction laborer was shot to death by unidentified men in his house at about 6:30 p.m.
Police identified the victim as Jose Quiño, 46, a laborer of J-Cleed Construction in the Tsuneishi Heavy Industries in barangay Buanoy of the town. He was killed by a gunshot to the face.
SPO1 Arvie Banate said they will focus their investigation on the victim's personal grudges after they learned that over the past two weeks that the victim made a lot of enemies following argument during drinking sessions.
Banate said that victim had already encountered arguments at least thrice.
In Danao City, a 21-year-old man was shot by three unidentified assailants while having a drinking session beside a bakery in barangay Guinsay at about 7:30 p.m.
A concerned citizen reported the incident to the police by phone and policemen led by SPO3 Luis Perales responded to the alarm.
The lawmen said the victim, Rey Caputolan, a resident of sitio Dancar, barnagay Dungu-an, was sitting outside Ayelet Bakery, drinking with his friends when three unidentified men approached him and one of them shot the victim without any provocation.
The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the left side of his torso, two more to the left upper side of his back and another in the abdomen. He was rushed to the Danao District Hospital but later transferred to a hospital in Cebu City.
However SPO1 Jose Relampagos yesterday said Caputolan's father later went to their office to report that his son had died.
The relatives of the victim also told policemen one of his friends with him near the bakery allegedly identified the assailants.
In Carcar town, a 61-year-old farmer was also shot by three unidentified assailants while he was attending a benefit dance held in sitio Taklob, barangay Napo, late Saturday night.
Benjamin Mangurban, a resident of the place, was attending a benefit dance in celebration of their annual fiesta when the assailants shot him.
He was killed on the spot after being hit in the left side of his head near the ear and below the right armpit while assailants immediately fled.
