VSMMC's OB ward to reopen

The obstetrics and gynecology ward of the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center will be reopened on Monday after it was temporarily closed due to the annual preventive maintenance, disinfection and general cleaning.
VSMMC information officer Nonoy Mongaya said the hospital's OB ward was temporarily closed last December 30 and will resume operations on January 8. The OB complex covers the delivery room, neonatal intensive care unit and the ward.
Mongaya said that normal deliveries have been referred to other private and government hospitals like the St. Anthony Mother and Child Hospital located along Highway Tagonol in barangay Basak Mambaling.
The VSMMC OB Department augmented the staff of St. Anthony Mother and Child Hospital by deploying three resident OB doctors on a 24-hour duty for the duration of its ward's temporary closure. - Jasmin R. Uy
