VSMMC OB complex closed for preventive maintenance

The Obstetrics Complex of the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center will be temporarily closed due to routine annual preventive maintenance, disinfection and general cleaning.
VSMMC Information officer Eleodoro "Nonoy" Mongaya said that VSMMC's OB complex will be temporarily closed effective today, December 30, and will resume operations on January 8, 2007.
The OB complex covers the delivery room, neonatal intensive care unit and the ward.
Mongaya said that normal deliveries will be referred to their network of private and government hospital facilities, among them the St. Anthony Mother and Child Hospital located in Highway Tagonol in barangay Mambaling, Cebu City.
The VSMMC OB department will augment the OB staff of the St. Anthony Mother and Child hospital by deploying three OB residents on a 24-hour duty during the duration of the VSMMC OB complex temporary closure. - Jasmin R. Uy
