The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Cebu City government will inaugurate the new Waterfront Police Station building on December 29.
The new Waterfront police building is donated by the Gaisano family-owned VICSAL Foundation Inc. through Jack Gaisano, its president and chairman.
Located at Legazpi Extension, Fort San Pedro in barangay San Roque, the new building, which was completed last October, was the second to be adopted by the CCCI under its Adopt-A-Police Station project.
The first was the Mabolo Police Station, which was donated by the Aboitiz Group.
CCCI president Francis Monera stressed that the project is in line with their commitment to assist the police in maintaining peace and order, which he says, play a vital role in sustaining business activity.
He added that more police stations in the city would be covered by the project next year. - Gregg M. Rubio
