Power outage set tomorrow & Sunday

Some parts of Cebu City will experience power interruptions tomorrow and Sunday due to the scheduled upgrading and maintenance activities of the Visayan Electric Company.

On Saturday, from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m., the power firm's linemen will facilitate the rerouting of lines traversing a private property that will affect portions of barangay Kamagayan, particularly Don Pedro Cui Street and Extension, including 209-E Junquera Street.

On Sunday, VECO will also facilitate rerouting of lines traversing a private property that will cause power interruptions in portion of barangay Tisa, that will include sitio Capaculan, sitio Manga, Tisa Manga and a portion of Rivaridge Subdivision, Lapina compound.

Also to be affected is portion of barangay Gudalupe, particularly sitio Kadasig Phase III, including Upper Sta. Ana Labangon, and Cebuano Waters.

VECO apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by the temporary loss of power, saying these interruptions are needed to improve its facilities in the areas mentioned and to further augment its services to its customers. - Wenna A. Berondo/MEEV
