In Mandaue City from 12:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. on Friday, power outages will hit portions of barangay Umapad from Plaridel Street, C.P. Batiller Street, including Amosup Seamen's Hospital, Atlantis Tech., Cebu Metal Corporation, Divent Corporation, Fate Motors, Golden Harvester Int'l, JP Noodles Corp., Mactan-Cebu Bridge Management Board, Mayol Int'l Export, Nogrande Foods Inc., Pathfinder Salven Development Corp., and Solid Construction Inc.
Also affected by the power interruptions are portions of barangay Alang-Alang, including Belcris Food Factory Outlet, Caltex, Kajima Corp., Pres. Marine Corp., S.A. Building, S.A. Styropor Inc., SNC Remicon Inc., and Wegger Industries, and portions of barangay Paknaan, including Cebu Performance, FJ Wegon Farms Inc., IMON, Chemicals Inc., Stanphil Industries, and YURI Development Corp.
On the same day, VECO will relocate its poles and lines that are affected by the ongoing road widening project in Naga that will cause power outages in barangay Tinaan, sitio LU-EM, sitio Sindulan, Mainit, Naalad, Gorones Batching Plant, Pangdan, Lutac, Balirong, Alpaco, Tagjaguimit, Mayana, Lanas, and Uling.
VECO has also announced that it canceled the scheduled upgrading activity in barangays Maguikay, Casuntingan and Tingub in Mandaue City this week. - Wenna A. Berondo
