Woman dies while having sex
October 21, 2006 | 12:00am
A guest relations officer died while having sexual intercourse with her customer inside a motel at the Mandaue City reclamation area at around 1:00 a.m. yesterday.
The GRO was identified as Maribel Villamor, 43, a single parent, and a resident of barangay Looc, Mandaue City while the man, Julie Noble, 38, married, of Santo Domingo, Guimaras province works as quartermaster of a tugboat that docked at Pier 7.
Noble narrated that the tugboat sailed from Alcoy town in the southeastern part of Cebu, and docked in Mandaue City. He said that he was out to buy provisions for their trip to Manila.
As he happened to pass by a beer garden, he ordered a few bottles. After having a couple of drinks, he said Villamor approached him and offered sex. After they agreed on the fee, they went to a motel at the Mandaue City reclamation area. Noble said he never had any hint that Villamor was sick, "as she headed straight to the bathroom for a shower the moment we entered the room."
He recounted that they were able to "finish the first round shortly and started the second round with the woman, this time, on top."
It was then, he said, that he began to notice the "woman's moans getting muffled", until she got off him and laid down beside him.
He said he checked the woman thinking that she was just exhausted and wanted to take a rest, but he instead found out the woman was already unconscious. This prompted him to ask for assistance from the motel personnel.
Villamor was rushed to the Mandaue City Hospital, but the attending physician pronounced her dead on arrival.
A sister of Villamor disclosed that the latter has a Muslim common-law husband, but that the man already left her. The couple has one child.
Her family accepted the P6,000 financial assistance Noble handed over in front of Police C/Insp. Abraham Ocampo, chief of Centro Police station in Mandaue City. Her sister said they have no plans whatsoever of going after Noble.
Prior to the incident, she said she was already aware that her sister was not feeling well. But later on, she learned that Villamor decided to go out with a customer. - Gregg M. Rubio
