The team from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-7 led by C/Insp. Fermin Armendares III collared Brian Villahermoso, 32, a resident of V. Rama Avenue of the same barangay.
The police said that the suspect has been a subject of the tip they received regarding the illegal drug trade in the area prompting them to conduct a buy-bust operation.
A police poseur-buyer reportedly bought two big packs of shabu from Villahermoso using P1,000 marked money and boodle money.
When Villahermoso handed the suspected shabu over to the policeman, he was immediately arrested and taken to the CIDG-7 office along Gorordo Avenue.
Villahermoso, when interviewed by reporters, admitted to have handed over the illegal drugs to the police whom he thought was an ordinary "customer".
However, the suspect denied he is a drug pusher claiming that a man, whom he refused to name, just asked him to give the drugs to the men who will give him the money.
Police said Villahermoso is a Level 3 pusher who can sell at most 200 grams of shabu a week. - Edwin Ian Melecio
