San Fernando church charity money stolen

An unidentified person reportedly stole from a church in San Fernando town Monday night a donation box that contained charity money.

Rev. Father Leo Cabahug, the parish priest of the St. Isidro Labrador Church located at the South Poblacion of San Fernando town, reported the incident to the San Fernando Police station, saying the donation box contained money in various denominations but of undetermined value.

Elements of the San Fernando Police led by S/Insp. Ramon Ortiz, the town's chief of police, responded to the alarm and conducted an investigation on the incident.

Initial police investigation conducted revealed that at about 7 p.m. Monday, someone entered the church and took the donation box that holds money collected during offertory.

SPO3 Raffy Satera told The FREEMAN yesterday that the cook identified as Ada Jumao-as and her child were at the church convent at the time of the incident. Jumao-as and her child are reportedly nowhere to be found after the incident.
